Actually, they did a fair bit more than just "lobbing some mortar rounds" into a "military enclave."
They pretty much razed South Ossetia's capital, Tskhinvali, killing about 1,400 men, women and children in the process. Most of the rest have fled by now, but some still remain trapped under the ruins of what used to be their city and water, food and electricity is absent.

G-d at work again, Rick.
And praise be to Him for that! I just read the previous posts about the impending doom the other night and I was thinking to myself "no. No. This isn't right. Please G-d, if there's a way and it is Your will, avert this disaster."
We may not always agree on things, Rick, and we have had our scuffles in the past, but that's beside the point. That's just opinion and, as a wise man once said, opinions are like a-holes. Everybody's got one. This, however, was threatening disaster to you and your beloved wife as well as the house and belongings that are part of your life too.
So I prayed hard. Now, I'm not vain enough to think that my feeble pleas were what turned this around, but I do know that it was G-d's work, and that's all that matters.
May He continue to bless you and your Zsu Zsu.

Oh yes, that's brilliant.
1) Threaten them with reciprocal consequences that they know won't ever happen and that will, as a result, be completely ignored. Have the past years taught you NOTHING, or have you simply chosen an alternate reality because you don't like the one you live in?
2) Give nukes to our enemies, the Wahhabi Saudis. Pure brilliance there. Why not give some to al-Qaeda directly, and save us the middle man?
3) Build "credible" alliances with nations that have, for 60 years, not kept their word for more than three seconds at a time.
4) Build up an armed insurgency that we've just been told would never work.
Fantastic.
That has to be some of the most blatantly self-delusional claptrap that I've read in, oh, all of my life.

Anyway, get well. I have a few never-failed Viking recipes to fix a flu that I'd be happy to share. They'll fix what ails you, but they might make you suddenly want to wear a horned helmet and give you a strange desire to make unwanted advances toward nuns.

Our Founders showed great wisdom when they placed DC in a swamp, hoping that nobody but the most idealistic of individuals would choose to live in it.
Unfortunately, they could not foresee the ingenuity of the slimy reptiles inhabiting it, their almost infinite skills in turning a G-d forsaken hellhole into a gilded fountain in which they could wallow, raping the general populace and living high on the hog while pouring their excrement all over the hardworking souls paying for their excesses.
Of all the planes that could've been taken over by the heroics of their passengers on 9/11, it had to be the one directed at the single most expendable sewer in the whole nation?
What a waste.
Well, hopefully G-d will deal with this Sodom as He dealt with the last one.
And there will be much rejoicing when the parasites are purged from the body of our nation.

Well, Rick, in the sense that it isn't worth it because it isn't going to change one mentally challenged fanboi's mind I couldn't agree more. All it takes to prove that beyond any reasonable doubt whatsoever is one look at the comments to his denial post.
But that's not the point. The point is it is so much FUN. I know. I can't help it.
Anyway, it'll pass. Soon, he'll be yesterday's chew toy ;-)

That's one of the more infuriating things about the pro-Amnesty wing of the GOP, when they start screaming that we of the Secure Our Borders crowd are "anti-immigration."
We're anti-ILLEGAL immigration.
But somehow the petulant preemies can't wrap their little brains around that difference.

No, I retract that. He's a smart kid who did something incredibly dumb and wrong. Fortunately for him, he's got the smarts and the skills (I've read the stuff that he's provably NOT stolen from anybody) to work himself out of it if he wants to and if he accepts that he farked up.
I hope he does. I hope he does because it'd be a waste if he didn't. However, if he decides to suck his thumb and whine for the rest of his life because of something that was entirely all his own fault, then he deserves everything that happens to him.

Er, the Kraut's name is "Theo", a quite German name, not "Tio." They sound the same in English, though (since the "h" is silent), hence the confusion.
Is Audrey a traitor? Improbable. It's far more likely that she was duped, thinking that she was doing something else when she handed over the info to Colette. Still, anything's possible.
